With the accelerating aging population process in China, it is undergoing a gradual transition from the traditional views and modes of endowment to the concept of social endowment. Increasingly there is a growing society need for aged care facilities, we are seeing more and more elderly people choose to stay in an aged care facility and require nursing home caregivers to take care of them. Care workers provide direct help and care to elderly people for both their daily needs and mental health, they are considered a driving force to provide services to the elderly. However, those care workers in our country are facing the dilemma as low social awareness, severe outflow of talent. The level of the professional identification of the care worker will directly affect the service quality of the aged care facility, it also affects the development of the care worker’s professionalism. Therefore the study of care work’s career identity is both theoretically and practically significant to the endowment service in China.This study adopted a qualitative research method by in-depth interview with 8 aging caregivers at XXX nursing home, Haidian district, Beijing, based on their professional identification, an analysis is given from the following aspects, entry motive, working status, occupation cognition, occupation evaluation, adaptation. Within the working status are respectively the working routines, welfare benefits, training and working atmosphere(Working set-up, interpersonal relationship, team cooperation, the art of a leader, service idea) This research mainly focused on the above mentioned several aspects and conducted the analysis: most of the aging caregivers believe that their job will bring them a good prospect, though they work really hard and experience heavy mental load, but they still hold a strong sense of achievement and the a pleasure of self-satisfaction;. The author unfolds the status of how much the aging caregivers identify with their occupation from the aspects based on 4 dimensions, namely the role values, the vocational aptitude, work values and work emotions, furthermore, a discussion of how the occupation selection theory, the social norms theory and the professional identification theory will influence the professional identification is discussed.Finally, based on the factors which will influence professional identifications of the aged care facilities the author provided the following suggestions, while increasing the support of the intensity of the endowment service policy, making efforts to carry out the related policies. Guiding the public opinion actively, enhancing the social identification for the aging caregivers, expanding the training scale for aging caregivers, retaining talents in the field, increasing salaries for the aging caregivers, enhancing the incentive mechanism. Through the above mentioned efforts enhancing the professional identification of the aging caregivers continuously, laying a solid ground for establishing a team of aging care geniuses.
