Objective:To describe the status quo of secondary-school nursing students' Professional identity in LiuZhou Medical College,to analyze influencing factors associated with secondary-school nursing students'Professional identity and provide a reference to deepen teaching reform.Methods.According to research purposes, random stratified cluster sampling was adopted to recruit full-time secondary-school nursing students from three whole classes of each grade from LiuZhou Medical Coltege.Questionnaires used to collect data was as follows:Questionnaire of Secondary-school Nursing Students' Professional Identity, and transfer it into Excel. After that, process and verify the data. Verification includes checking of data correctness and completeness and it was carried out under the computer program and manual inspection.Computer inspection includes:computer database checking, Missing values checking, outliers checking, data calculation checking and important logical relationship checking.Manual inspection includes:According to the results, some suspicious data would be checked by manual or by consulting the relevant personnel.Statistical softwares SPSS13.0 were used for data analysis. Results:1. The over all status quo of econdary-school nursing students' professional identity:The mean score of secondary-school nursing students'professional identity was 3.18±1.15. as for the mean item seore in different subscales, the scores in professional knowledge, professional affection, professional volition, professional skill and professional expectation were 2.68±0.83, 3.10±1.25,3.40±1.06,2.71±1.89,4.16±0.90,3.01±0.98, respectively.。2. Influencing factors associated with professional identity:Univate analysis:Influencing factors associated with professional identity were as followed:gender, grade, rural or urban students, whether being regulating matriculation, reasons for majoring in nursing speciality, achievement in school, whether holding a post, family income and different hospital. Professional identity of female was higher than male; grade one had the highest professional identity and grade three had the lowest; Professional identity of rural origin students were higher than which from urban areas; professional identity of students enrolled by the first will were higher than those enrolled by other methods; students who enjoyed nursing profession had higher professional identity;students with an excellent school achievement got higher professional identity than those with a bad performance in school; students cadre had higher professional identity thanthose without any posts in school; students with lower family income gothigher professional identity than those with higher family income, to analyze influencing factors associated with professional identity:Multivariate analysis:Reasons for majoring in nursing speciality was a factor that influenced students'professional identity. Students who enjoyed nursing profession had higher professional identity. Conclusion:1. The level of secondary-school nursing students'Professional identity in LiuZhou Medical College belongs to ordinary.2. Gender, enrollment methods, reasons form majoring in nursing students'school achievement, whether being students'cadre speciality, family income, different hospital etc influence professional identity.3. Reasons for majoring in grade, nursing speciality, result of study students,family income are the most important as for the scores in professional knowledge, Reasons for majoring in gender, grade, rural or urban students, family income, result of study, nursing speciality whether being regulating matriculation, are the most important as for the scores in professional affection, Reasons for majoring in gender, grade, achievement in school, different hospitaL,nursing speciality are the most important as for the scores in professional volition, Reasons for majoring in gender, whether holding a post, result of study, are the most important as for the scores in professional skill and Reasons for majoring in gender, grade, result of study, achievement in school, whether holding a post, are the most important as for the scores in professional expectation...
