The Clinical Research On The Effect Of Bushen Jiangu Decoction In The Treatment Of Primary Osteoporosis

Objective:To study traditional Chinese medicine and modern medicine knowledge on primary osteoporosis, clinical symptoms, biochemical markers of bone metabolism, serum ferritsn(SF) changes of patients with primary osteoporosis had been observed after treating by Bushen Jiangu decoction. For providing objective basis for its clinical use and further research, its efficacy and safety have been evaluated, and the prevention and control of the disease and treatment of osteoporosis mechanism have also been discussed.Methods:This study adopted the method of literature research and clinical trials to summarize knowledge of primary osteoporosis from traditional Chinese medicine and modern medicine. Cases which conformed to the primary osteoporosis kidney deficiency and blood stasis syndrome diagnostic criteria and the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into blank group, control group and treatment group. Control group was treated by Gukang capsule,4 tablets each time, three times daily, the treatment group was treated by Bushen Jiangu Decoction, a course of 8 weeks, a dose daily. Respectively evaluated changes of three groups of patients with clinical symptoms before and after treatment, and observed serum calcium(Ca), serum phosphorus(P), osteocalcin(BGP), tartrate resistant acid phosphatase(TRACP), serum ferritsn as well as some other index changes, and adverse reaction of patients at the same time.Results:A total of 45 patients was selected as subjects. These cases meet the primary osteoporosis kidney deficiency and blood stasis syndrome diagnostic criteria the inclusion criteria. By analysis, there was no significant difference between the baseline data including patients’age, gender and so on of three groups (P>0.05), and as a result patients’data of three groups was comparable. The comparison of curative effects results:①the symptom score aspect:There was significant difference between the before and after treatment of symptom score of treatment group and control group (P<0.05), and between treatment group’s and control group’s symptom score after 8 weeks treatment, but not after 4 weeks.②the treatment efficacy:treatment group total effective rate was 93.33%, and control group total effective rate was 73.33%, two groups total effective had no significant difference (P>0.05).③the bone metabolism biochemical indexes and serum ferritsn:there was no statistically significance because of lack of biochemical index data after treatment when there’s 1 case in the control group after treatment, and 5 cases in the treatment group.Conclusion:Bushen Jiangu Decoction can significantly improve various clinical symptoms like lower back pain, weakness of patients with primary osteoporosis kidney deficiency and blood stasis syndrome; Datas about serum calcium, serum phosphorus, osteocalcin, tartrate resistant acid phosphatase, serum ferritsn and other biochemical indexes were insufficient after treatment, there was no scientific statistical significance as a result. But from the data analysis in hand, there were not obvious increses in serum calcium, serum phosphorus levels, besides, levels of osteocalcin, tartrate resistant acid phosphatase and serum ferritsn were improved, in addition, there were no cases of adverse reactions. So it’s worthy of further research.
