Objective:To explore the mediation effects of positive emotions between the psychological resilience and job burnout in psychiatric nurses. The research would provide theoretical basis for the study of positive emotions, and give a new perspective for administrators to do a better human resource management and career planning.Methods:192psychiatric nurses from sample of a convenient survey in one mental health centre in Shandong Province were recruited. They were assessed with general information questionnaire, Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC-10), Maslach Burnout Inventor-General Survey (MBI-GS) and positive and negative emotion scale (PANAS). All data were audited and used SPSS16.0software for statistical analysis, including descriptive statistics, variance analysis, t-test, correlation analysis, regression analysis and other methods.Result:1. Job burnout dimensions of psychiatric nurses in accordance with the level of sharing as follows:low sense of accomplishment, emotional exhaustion and depersonalization; Burnout of psychiatric nurses were in the medium level.2. Differences in job burnout score of psychiatric nurses:emotional exhaustion dimension differences in age, marital status and years reach a statistically significant level.3. Multivariate hierarchical regression analysis:Psychological resilience, positive emotions were the significant predictors of job burnout; positive emotions play a mediating role between psychological resilience and job burnout.Conclusion:1. Job burnout of psychiatric nurses was in the medium level.2. Younger, shorter working time and married psychiatric nurses have a lower emotional exhaustion scores, indicating emotional exhaustion may show a significant difference with different age, hours of work and married status.3. Resilience and positive emotions were significant predict factors of job burnout; positive emotions partially mediated the relationship between resilience and job burnout.
