Objective:To explore the theoretical basis and clinical significance of abdominal acupuncture incombination with rehabilitation training in spasticity from ischemic stroke hemiplegiapatients, by assessing the clinical effects of three selected treatments: abdominalacupuncture, rehabilitation training and abdominal acupuncture in combination withrehabilitation training. Methods:In this study,90spasticity from ischemic stroke hemiplegia patients were selected. They were all at the sub-acute stage of stroke (2weeks to6months after stroke onset). Thepatients were randomized into three groups: one abdominal acupuncture group (n=30), onerehabilitation training group (n=30) and one abdominal-acupuncture in combination withrehabilitation training group (n=30). The three groups received abdominal acupuncture, rehabilitation training, or abdominal-acupuncture in combination with rehabilitationtraining respectively for4weeks, on the basis of conventional supportive treatment. Theclinical effects were assessed before and after the treatment. All the data are analysed bySPSS19.0statistical software.Results:1.Comparison in the group:Three groups after treatment along a grade decreases,FMA movement function and ADL in daily life activities ability score were improved, compared with before treatment difference had statistical significance (P<0.01), the threegroups all can reduce ischemic stroke subtype, improve patients’ limb movement function, improve the ability of daily life.2.Comparison between three groups:Three groups along score after treatment, compared FMA scores and ADL scores, abdominal needle group, the rehabilitation groupand combination group to compare the difference had statistical significance (P<0.05,P<0.01), abdominal needle group and rehabilitation group comparison difference hasstatistical significance (P<0.05, P<0.01).3.The clinical curative effect comparison: after treatment group total effectiveness93.33%, abdominal needle group82.75%, the rehabilitation group was75.86%, thecomparison group total effective rate difference had statistical significance (P<0.01).Abdominal needle group, the rehabilitation group and combination group, the differencewas statistically significant (P<0.01), abdominal needle group and rehabilitation groupcomparison difference has statistical significance (P<0.01). Conclusion:1.All the three treatments, including abdominal acupuncture, rehabilitationtraining and the combination of abdominal-acupuncture and rehabilitation training, could reduce ischemic stroke hemiplegia spasticity in patients with muscle tension, improve limb motor function and daily living skills.2.In reducing muscle tension, improve function of limbs movement, daily lifeability and the overall clinical malignant effect combined with improving effect isbetter than that of abdominal needle group, abdomen needle is better than therehabilitation group.3.Abdominal injection combined with rehabilitation training in patients withischemic stroke hemiplegia, spasticity with coordinated and complementary therapyeffect, is better than both is alone, and no adverse reaction, is an effective method ofeconomic, fast, is worth promoting in the clinical practice.
