Clinical Observation On Quanjing Acupuncture Therapy Combined With Rehabilitation Training For Treatment Of Hemiplegia And Spasticity Caused By Apoplexy

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of hemiplegia in stroke patients treated by the quanjing acupuncture therapy combined with rehabilitation training, and preliminarily probe into its mechanism.Method:Eighty patients with hemiplegia and spasticity caused by cerebral apoplexy were randomized into the control group (30cases) and the combined-treatment group (30cases).The patients in the control group were treated by the quanjing acupuncture therapy combined with the rehabilitation training. But the patients in the combined-treatment group were only treated by the rehabilitation training. The two groups of rehabilitation training method is the same and conventional basic treatment of two groups according to Department of Neurology. The patients in the two groups were assessed before the treatment and3courses of treatment after treatment by the following measurements:MESSS, the modified Ashworth scale and Barthel Index.Result:two groups of patients with spasticity, neurological deficits, and activities of daily living were varying degrees of improvement. Compared between the two groups, the treatment group was better than those in the control group (P<0.05). The treatment group was significantly progress rate of76.7%and the control group was30%, the clinical efficacy of the treatment group was better than that in control group (P<0.05).Conclusion:The quanjing acupuncture therapy combined with the rehabilitation training in the treatment of hemiplegia spasticity has more effective than simple rehabilitation training.
