Oral health is one of the important parts of the body health, which is determinedby the healthy oral behaviors. It is helpful to pay attention to the oral cleaning andcultivate the healthy oral behaviors for keeping your oral health. Both of childhoodand adolescence are the period easy to catch the oral disease. College students beingthe main part of the adolescents, it is significant for the prevention of oral diseasesand improvement of the oral health status of thestudents to find their bad oral healthbehavior and the factors of oral diseases.Objective:This paper is designed to get to know the oral health status, to analyze theinfluencing factors of caries disease, which provide the scientific data for collegestudents’ oral health education and health promotion, by the survey of oral healthbehavior, the oral health knowledge, the health concept and the common oraldiseases of university freshmen in Daqing.Methods:Method of sampling is used to collect400university freshmen in Daqing asresearch subjects. The questionnaires about the college freshmen oral healthknowledge and the relative behaviors are designed to investigate oral health behavior,the oral health knowledge, the health concept. The students are required to fill thequestionnaireon the spot. The designed evaluation tables about the college freshmenoral health status are used to examine evaluate the oral health status of the researchsubjects. Epidata3.1is used to inputting the data and SPSS20.0for analysis.Results:Most college students access to the oral health knowledge through the familynumbers amounts to the highest (24.3%), the lowest thorough schooleducation (3%). More than50.0%of the students know the cause of tooth decay,treatment and cleaning method of plaque, but only10.5%the students know thecause of bleeding gums.53.5%studentsshow interests in oral health knowledge;68.0%students have a positive attitude, but only12.5%students examine oral cavityregularly. The main reason of not regular examination is that they believe to beunnecessary. Most of the students will choose oral outpatient hospital (58.5%), andthe choice of school clinic accounts the least (1.3%).Among the400resaerch subjects,70.0%of the students brush their teethtwiceor more;30.5%students spend3minites or more every time;74.3%students use therelation method alternately to brush teeth;13.8%students are in the use of toothpastewithfluoride;74.0students use soft toothbrush;85.0%students replace toothbrush inthree months or less.44.5%of the students have a habit mouthwash after meals;10.3%students often use dental floss;14.8%students often use toothpicks;13.8%students often use mouthwash;20.0%students smoke;62.8%students often eatsnacks;41.8%students have the habit of eating before sleep;51.5%students oftenchew unilaterally;25.8%students often use teeth to bite hard objects.The results indicates that the prevalence rate of dental caries was46.5%, thecaries average was1.21. Gingival bleeding detection rate was61.5%, the plaquedetection80.3%, the soft dirt detection61.0%, the plaque detection44.5%.Temporomandibular joint disorder detection rate was32.0%, wisdom teeth maxillarydetection33.5%, wrong micromaxillary deformity detection38.0%. The six factors(gender, number of brushing teeth, eating sacks, eating before sleep, plaque, soft dirt)have effects on rate of catching caries disease through the single factor analysis andmultiple factors Logistic regression analysis.Conclusions:The university freshmen’s oral health knowledge is not comprehensive, oralhealth consciousness is relatively weak, and their oral health behaviors are not idealin Daqing. Theoral health status of university students is not optimistic in Daqing, and oral cavity problem detection rate is higher. Gender, number of brushing yourteeth, eating snacks, eating before sleep, plaque, soft dirt are the influencing factorsof caries disease.
