Survey On The Situation Of Infecting And Carrying HBV Of Freshmen In A University Of Meizhou City Over Past Ten Years

ObjectTo investigate the hepatitis B virus infection and carrying status of the freshmen from Meizhou in Jiaying University over past ten years, analyze influential factors of HBV infection of the youth, offer scientific basis and policy advise, in order to adjust and improve the prevention measures of HBV of Meizhou city further, and reduce the infectious rate of HBV.MethodsCollecting the five statistic data (HBsAg, HBsAb, HBeAg, HBcAb, HBeAb) of HBV of the freshmen from Meizhou in Jiaying University from 2000 to 2009, whose health checkup materials were tested by means of Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbnent Assay (ELISA). All data were inputted into EpiData3.1 data base.SPSS13.0 software was used to analyze these data. Results about HBV infection of different freshmen with various entrance time, hometown and sex were analyzed and compared.Results1. The general positive rate of HBsAg infection of freshmen from Meizhou in Jiaying University from 2000 to 2009 was 15.90%. During this ten-year period, the tendency of the positive rate of HBsAg infection had gone down (from 19.13% of 2000 to 11.75% of 2009). It is obvious that the average positive rate of HBsAg infection of the former 5 years (18.41%) was higher than that of the latter 5 years (14.32%). The difference was significant (P<0.01)2. The average positive rates of HBsAg infection of male and female freshmen were 19.93% and 15.18% respectively. The positive rate of HBsAg infection of male freshmen was significant higher than that of female ones (P<0.01)3. The positive rate of HBsAg infection of freshmen from city and country was 13.77% and 17.54% respectively. The positive rate of HBsAg infection of freshmen from country was significant higher than that of freshmen from city (P<0.01)4. Among five patterns of serum symbol of HBV infection, two patterns were most ommon. One pattern was the pattern with HBsAg, HBeAg and HBcAb all positive. Another pattern was the pattern with HBsAg, HBeAb and HBcAb all positive. There was no significant change about five patterns of serum symbol of HBV infection between former and later five-year period. (P>0.05)Conclusions1. The rate of infection of HBV was high, but the tendency of infection rate was going down year after year.2. The rate of HBV infection of male freshmen was significant higher than that of female freshmen. The rate of HBV infection of HBV of freshmen from country was significant higher than that of ones from city.3. Two most common patterns of serum symbol of HBV infection were the pattern with HBsAg, HBeAg, HBcAb all positive and the pattern with HBsAg,HBeAb,HBcAb all positive.
