Clinical Research Of Pilon Fracture Treament With L-LCP

Objective: To study the efficacy of using L-type anatomical lockingcompression plate for Pilon fracturetreatment, andprovide basis for clinicalapplication.Methods:Collect24cases patients diagnosed as Pilon fractures andtreatedbyusingL-typeanatomicallockingcompressionplatesinAffiliatedHospitalofShandongTraditionalChineseMedicineUniversity(Chinese Medicine Hospital of ShandongProvince) orthopedic ward from March2012to April2013. In which there are15males,9females, aged18-77years, mean age of45.7years, on the leftside of13cases, and on the right of11cases. Fractures according to Rüedi-Allg wer typing method: type I of5cases, type Ⅱof9cases and type Ⅲof10cases.19cases patients diagnosed as Closed Pilon fracturesand5casespatients diagnosed as Open fractures. All patients were performedpreoperative imaging examination; Preoperative assessment ofbodytolerancetosurgery and soft tissueinjury status of patients, select the appropriatesurgical planaccording to condition, complete preoperativepreparation workanddeterminetheoperationtime.Guidepatientstoperformpostoperativesystematicrehabilitation exxicto prevent and reduce incidence of postoperativecomplications, and using herbal fumigation ankle promote functional recovery.Conduct postoperative patients’follow-up, for6to18months, an average of 12months. Use ankle symptom and function rating standarddeveloped by Mazur etc. to perform theefficacy evaluation.Results:all24patients’fractures werehealed. According to Mazur rating criteria:12cases of excellent,7cases of good,4cases of fair,1case of poor, and the good rate is83.33%. Patientswith skin necrosisand of2caseDelayed fracture healing. All patients enrolled in the study had no infection, fractures healed without malunion, without re-fracture, internal fixation without loosening and crack; noLimb shortening and articular surface collapse.Conclusion:L-type anatomical locking compression plate can better restore ankle joint function and reduce the risk of various complications occurrence, and it is theideal internal fixationof closedPilon fracturetreatment.
