| Objective:To explore the clinical results of therapeutic method of Pilon fracture treated by L-anatomic plate locking on far end of tibia. Methods:We observe and compare two groups of patients with completed clinical data,35 patients with Pilon fractures treated by anatomic plate as group A and 28 patients with Pilon fractures treated by L-anatomic plate locking on far end of tibia as group B, during 5 years(2005.9-2010.2) in departments of the orthopaedics of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated Hospital. Operations were planed uniquely based on every patient's specific condition in order to reduce postoperative complications as far as possible. We compare and analyze data on time-to-union, fractural resetting, angel joint symphony, recovery of function and soft tissue postoperative complication in 8-25 months (15.8 months average) follow-up records of patients with Pilon fractures, conclude the advantage of treatment about locking anatomic plate and also supply clinical references for Pilon fraction treatment by L-anatomic plate locking on far end of tibia. Results: Through the observation and statistical analysis about clinical results of two groups of patients, we find out that the time-to-union of two methods of treatments are not significantly different and the effects of group B on fractural resetting, angel symphony, functional recovery and soft tissue postoperative complication are significantly better than those of group A. Conclusion:After solving out problems in soft tissues and a proper operation timing, internal fixation treatment of Pilon fracture by L-locking anatomic plate is a reliable and reasonable treatment option based on the condition of fraction and differences of soft tissue situations... |
