Objective:Explored possible mechanism of Omentin-1 in the development of coronary heart disease (CHD).Methods:Selected 110 patients accepting coronary angiography(CAG), without diabetes,90 patients as CHD group and 20 patients as a non-CHD group from our hospital, with the chief complaint of chest pian, chest tightness, and palpitation from October 2013-February 2014. Demographic data included fasting blood glucose,gender,age,tested blood pressure at six a.m(systolic pressure, diastolic pressure), and,total cholesterol, triglyceride, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and High-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C).All of the CHD samples were divided into Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) (n=28)group, Stable angina pectoris (SAP) group(n=28), Unstable angina pectoris (UAP) group(n=34), and There were three groups in the CHD patients according to the number of vessel disease:one vessel isease group (n=36),two vessels disease group (n=32);multi-vessels disease group(n=22). Samples from 90 patients with CHD and 20 healthy controls were determinated for the levels of fasting blood glucose,total cholesterol, triglyceride, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and High-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C). The result of Omentin-1 and MMP-9 were analysised by statistics.Result:(1)There are no significant difference including in age, sex, BMI,FBG,total cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL-C compared between groups (P>0.05). HDL-C in the ACS group, the SAP group and the UAP group were lower than those in the healthy control group(P<0.05). Systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure in the AMI group,the SAP group and the UAP group were higher than those in the healthy control group(P<0.05). (2) The concentrations of Omentin-1 in the AMI groups the SAP group and in the UAP group were significantly lower than those in control group,The concentrations of MMP-9 in the AMI group、 the SAP group and in the UAP group were significantly higher than those in control group (P<0.05), The concentrations of Omentin-1 in AMI group was significantly higher than those in the SAP group and in the UAP group,The concentrations of MMP-9 in AMI group were significantly lower than those in the SAP group and in the UAP group (P<0.05) (3) Serum concentrations of Omentin-1 in multiple vessels disease group were lower than those in two vessel disease group (P<0.05), Serum concentrations of Omentin-1 in two vessels disease groups were lower than those in one vessel disease group (P<0.05), Serum concentrations of Omentin-1 in one vessel disease group were lower than those in in control group (P<0.05)。(4) Serum Omentin-1 level was negatively correlated with BMI, FPG, TG, TC, LDL-C (correlation coefficient were respectively 0.174,0.254,0.227,0.141, 0.213), and was positively correlated with HDL-C (r= 0.244, P= 0.244), but age, SBP and DBP were no significant correlation with it(P> 0.05); (5) Serum Omentin-1 and the level of MMP-9 was significantly negative correlation (r=0.686, P<0.05)。Conclusion:Serum Omentin-1 level is correlation with coronary heart disease, the severity of coronary heart disease, and coronary artery lesion counts, which suggest that serum levels of Omentin-1 could be used as one of important index to judge the severity of coronary heart disease.
