Clinical Research Of Therapy Of Zisheng Granules For The Syndrome Of Spleen And Lung Qi Deficiency Of Vitamin D Deficiency Rickets In Children

Objective:To observe and to evaluate the clinical effect of therapy of Zisheng granules for the syndrome of spleen and lung qi deficiency of vitamin D deficiency rickets in children.Methods:A total of 61 children who met the diagnostic criteria of vitamin D deficiency rickets (syndrome of lung and spleen qi deficiency) were randomly divided into two groups:the treatment and the control. The treatment group (n=30)taken Zisheng granules orally, while the control group (n=31) was treated with vitamin D drops and calcium carbonate and vitamin D3 granules for children orally. Both of the two groups were treated for one course (8 weeks) and nursed under detailed guidance. The comprehensive curative effect of the two groups, the integral changes of TCM syndrome, the level changes of serum calcium, phosphorus and alkaline phosphatase, and the integral changes of individual TCM syndrome (sweat disease, mental condition, appetite, and stool irregularities) before and after treatment were observed.Results:Compared the comprehensive curative effect of the two groups after 8 weeks’ treatment:the total effective rate of the treatment group was 93.33%, while it was 90.32% of the control group. There was no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05). On the aspect of TCM syndrome integral improvement, the treatment group was superior to the control group. And there was significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05). Levels of the alkaline phosphatase of the treatment group were changed much more close to the normal level than that of the control group (P<0.05). The integral changes of individual TCM syndrome (appetite and stool irregularities) of the treatment group were improved better than that of the control group (P<0.05). Every safety indicator was normal in the treatment group.Conclusions:1. Zisheng granules have a good clinical effect on treating the syndrome of spleen and lung qi deficiency of vitamin D deficiency rickets in children.2. Zisheng granules can effectively regulate levels of alkaline phosphatase in children suffered from the syndrome of spleen and lung qi deficiency of vitamin D deficiency rickets in children.3. Zisheng granules have obviously curative effect on the aspect of improving the syndrome of lung and spleen qi deficiency and individual clinical syndromes (appetite and stool irregularities) of vitamin D deficiency rickets in children.4. There was no toxic and side effect in treating the syndrome of spleen and lung qi deficiency of vitamin D deficiency rickets in children by Zisheng granules, which proved it was safe and reliable.
