Purpose: Analyzing the pressure source,coping styles and emotional intelligence o f clinical nurses, describing the relationships between different degree of pressure sou rce, pressure, coping and EI with questionnaire. This results can provide theory and pr actical basis for clinical nurses,nursing managers and nursing educators to take variousmeans to raise the level of emotional intelligence in clinical nurses,for better copingwith pressure, promoting hospital management level, improving the quality of nurse s tudents and make sure for the promote the of nurse science.Method: 400 clinical nurses,choosing from 5 Third-level grade-A hospitals compl y with the standards of sample are invested by random sampling,with the questionnair es of common status,the pressure source China nurses work scale, coping styles and EIS. All the dates type in together with two people, 15% of random data type again for further verification and SPSS17.0 software was applied to statistical analysis.Result: All the five factors of the pressure source China nurses work scale, nursi ng is the first place with 2.89±0.39,and the nursing profession and work is the sec ond with 2.22±0.25,all in all,work environment and resources is in the last placewith 2.31±0.25.Low salary and other welfare benefits 3.46±0.73 and nursing man agers conflict 2.01±0.65 respectively occupy in the first and the last place allover th e 35 items.Clinical nurse positive coping styles average score is 2.17±0.43, contrasted to do mestic norm l.78±0.52 is higher and negative coping styles score is 1.18±0.59, co ntrasted to domestic norm1.59±0.66 is lower.More clinical nurses use positive copingstyles account for about 65.13%, the rest use medium positive coping styles.5.9% of clinical nurses ues negative coping styles more, 35.9% use fewer negative coping style s.Emotional intelligence of clinical nurses’ score is 3.79.Job stress of clinical nurse is negatively related to the positive coping styles,and negative coping styles is in the other side. Emotional intelligence and the various fact ors and clinical nurses pressure source exists obvious negative correlation. Emotional intelligence and the factors significantly positively relates to positive coping styles,and negative coping styles is in the other side.Conclusion: The overall level of the clinical nurse job stress is a little higher tha n the average.Stress mainly comes from nursing profession and work, workload and ti me allocation.Clinical nurse’s age, marital status and education are related to the clinic al nurses work pressure source.Clinical nurse adopt positive coping styles more whose response capacity is highe r than the national average.Emotional intelligence of clinical nurses is a little higher than the average.Clinicalnurse education and marital status can affect the emotional intelligence of clinical nur ses.Gob stress of clinical nurse negatively is related to the positive coping styles,and negative coping styles is positively correlatedin the other side. Emotional intelligence a nd the various factors and clinical nurses pressure source exists obvious negative corre lation. Emotional intelligence and the factors significantly positively relates to positive coping styles,,and negative coping styles isin the other side.
