Objective :To investigate the nurses’ cognitive attitudes and intentions towards the adverse event reporting. and analyze the related factors. The study would provides scientific basis to establish a standard Adverse Events Reporting System.Methods:We formed the questionnaire through literature searching and interview with nurses, We test the reliability and validity for it. To investigate 557 nurses from 5 hospitals in Liao Cheng region from June to Dcember 2013 by convenience sampling method. The data were analyzed by SPSS19.0 statistical software include descriptive statistical analysis, analysis of variance, t-test, chi-square test and multiple regression analysis. Results:There are 4 hospital in this study had passed the hospital accreditation. ① Nurses congnitove of adverse events was 4.05 ± 0.80. ②There are differences on cognitive adverse events among different age, work experience, technical title, position, education and department. ③According to the survey that nurses’ attitudes adverse events were 3.63 ± 0.38, tends to be positive, the dimension of negative impact and team had low scores. ④Through investigation the average score of the nurses adverse events reported intention is 3.71 ± 0.54, but hidden class grade adverse events reported to the lowest intentions. Ⅳ⑤The safety climate was positively correlated with congnitive, attitude and intention of adverse events. Conclusion:Nurses are key executive officers of adverse events reporting, medical institutions will give safety climate. Given the present conditions, we should visualize issues based on the system theory, and to take a diversified approach to build a standardized system of reporting adverse events, which involve establish a systematic training model, creative a positive safety climate. and constantly improve the work of medical information, and establish a scientific and effective adverse event reporting system.
