ObjectiveThis study through the clinical observation of abdominal acupuncture therapy and ibuprofen to treat primary dysmenorrhea, observes the effectiveness of abdominal acupuncture treatment of primary dysmenorrhea, and attempts to provide a more effective, simple and safe acupuncture treatment for this disease.MethodIn this study, we selected 66 patients, and the patients were randomly divided into two groups, the treatment group (abdominal acupuncture group) and the control group (ibuprofen group). VAS and SDSVD would be exploited as the measuring scale before treatment, after 1,3 course of treatment and follow-up after 1 month between and within two groups and judge curative effect.ConclusionIn the analysis of the 66 cases, fall off in 6, the treatment group and ontrol group both fall off in 3 cases. Finally included in the statistical analysis of the number of cases for the treatment group 30 cases and the control group 30 cases.1. Before the treatment, there were no statistically significant difference (P>0.05) between two groups in some aspects of the age, the time of menstrual cycle, course of disease, SDSVD and VAS scores, so it were comparable in the baseline characteristics in two groups.2. After 1 course of treatment, in aspect of SDSVD and VAS scores in both groups, the two groups has obvious difference (P<0.05), treatment group total scores was higher than that of the control group, explaining that ibuprofen was more effective than the abdominal acupuncture in the initial treatment of primary dysmenorrhea.3. After 3 courses of treatment, the results showed that the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05), explaining that efficacy of abdominal acupuncture and ibuprofen was considerably after 3 courses of treatment.4. By comparison of the scores about SDSVD and VAS, after 1,3 course of treatment and 1 month follow-up after treatment with before treatment within two groups, in the treatment group, the differences had statistically significance (P<0.01), and the scores after treatment were much lower than before, indicating that the effect of abdominal acupuncture treating for primary dysmenorrhea was very good. In the control group, after 1,3 course of treatment, the differences aslo had statistically significance (P<0.01), but 1 month follow-up after treatment, the results showed that the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05),prompted that ibuprofen had obvious treatment effect during treating, but after one month of treatment the efficacy have disappeared.5.1 month follow-up after treatment, comparing the SDSVD clinical efficacy of two groups, there are 6 recovered in 30 patients in the treatment group, 15 significantly improved,7 worked,2 invalid, the total effective clinical rate was 93.33%; In the control group,2 healed,9 significantly improved, 11 worked,8 invalid, the total effective clinical rate is 73.33%. The same to the VAS clinical efficacy, in total clinical efficiency, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01), described that the abdominal acupuncture was better than ibuprofen in the long-term outcome.ConelusionAbdominal Acupuncture and ibuprofen therapy are both interventional treatment for primary dysmenorrhea, ibuprofen was better than the abdominal acupuncture in the initial treatment of primary dysmenorrhea; efficacy of abdominal acupuncture and ibuprofen was considerably after 3 course of treatment; but in the long-term outcome treatment, the abdominal acupuncture was better than ibuprofen", described that abdominal acupuncture treatment of primary dysmenorrhea has clinical value.
