The Study Of The Clinical Curative Effect Of Xiaoxuming Pillow For Treating Stroke With Wind Phlegm Syndrome

Stroke is a kind of diseases that severely hazard human health, which has a high prevalence、morbidity、mortality and disability. On the one hand, the incidence and prevalence rate of stroke is on the rise in China. On the other hand, the age range of stroke is increasing. Therefore, the prevention and treatment of stroke is one of the arduous tasks. Xiaoxuming decoction on the treatment of stroke has experienced from prosperity to decline in the process of historical development. Xiaoxuming pillow which was made by Xiaoxuming decoction was used to treat stroke. This study was of much clinical value in prevention and treatment of stroke.ObjectiveFristly, this study was in order to prove that the theory of external wind was applicable to stroke. Secondly, it was aim to observe the clinical curative effect for the treatment of stroke treated by Xiaoxuming pillow. Xiaoxuming pillow was looking forward to a better future in treating stroke with wind phlegm syndrome.MethodsAccording to prospective method,60 patients diagnosed stroke with wind phlegm syndrome were rangdomly divided into two groups:the observing group (Xiaoxuming pillow Group or Group A) and the control group(Cotton pillow Group or Group B). Each group had 30 cases. Group A and Group B took the same basic treatment. Ischemic stroke:Edaravone 20ml, i.v. gtt, bid; Shuxuetong injection 6ml, i. v. gtt, qd; Aspirin enteric-coated tablets 100mg, p. o, qd; Atorvastatin calcium 20mg, p. o, qn; Banxiabaizhutianma decoction,p.o, qd. Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH):staid in bed quietly;kept airway unobstructed and blood pressure stable;maintained the balance of electrolyte and water metabolism; 20% mannitol 125ml, i. v. gtt, q12H or q8H(if it were in necessary); Banxiabaizhutianma decoction, p. o, qd. Furthermore, Group A was treated with Xiaoxuming pillow for 30 days, while Group B was treated with pillow composed of cotton. In the first day, the fifth day, the fourteenth day and the thirtieth day, it was going to evaluate and record these observation index:baseline data, safety index, diagnostic index, NIHSS and syndrome integral of TCM. Did some statistical analysis by SPSS19.0.ResultsIt is significant to work out the difference which is compared between Group A and Group B in NIHSS and TCM syndrome integral. The difference of the effective rates in TCM syndrome integral is meaningful. While, the difference of the effective rate in NIHSS have no significance. In other words, Xiaoxuming pillow can be usded to treat the disabled.It is safe and effective to remedy cerebral hemorrhage with Xiaoxuming pillow.ConelusionXiaoxuming pillow is a simple and cheap auxiliary treatment, which can be usd to effectively improve patient’s symptoms of TCM. The composition of Xiaoxuming pillow is guided by the wind said. That is to say, the wind said is practical. Xiaoxuming pillow could be used to treat ischemic cerebral apoplexy and cerebral hemorrhage, which is secure.
