Study On Medication Rules Of Formulas For Renal Diabetes

Objective:Renal Diabetes occur secondary to diabetes. Sick diabetes too long to involve the kidney, collaterals stasis and obstruction, kidney physical injure and kidney derelictions of duty lead to renal diabetes. The typical symptoms of the disease are soreness and weakness of waist and knees, frequent urination at night, urine with foam, lack of sexual desire, or body dropsy. The study investigate the rules of herbal prescriptions in the treatment of Renal Diabetes in TCM to provide the reliable reference for TCM treatment in the disease. And this study hope to fill in the blanks of formulas research on Renal Diabetes.Method:This study has been divided into two parts. The first part of it verified about the disease name on the research from the origin, reviewed the points of view of doctors according to historical order. The modern TCM treatment of Renal Diabetes has been concluded, and the etiology, pathogenesis, pathological characteristics, pathological stage, concept extension has been preliminary summarized. These works laid foundation for future research. The second part established basic data table of Renal Diabetes after collating, checking, screening, data entry and specifications, and summarized by Data mining software Rapid Miner.Results:This study include237ancient herbal formulas of Renal Diabetes treatment and127modern formulas, involving351flavors, and the times of total use is3377.Among them, the drugs which have a high frequency are24flavors. Summary of the five most common use drugs of the treatment to the disease are as following:HuangQi (38.74%), FuLing (36.81%), ShengDiHuang (25.27%), TianHuaFen (25.27%), MaiDong (25%)Among the drugs, the tonic drugs, antipyretics drugs, dampness clearing drugs, arresting discharge drugs and promoting blood circulation by removing blood stasis drugs are used greater then200times. The tonic drugs(31.15%) are used1052times. The ancient and modern formulas both are used more than20types drugs. Compared with the ancient formulas, using of promoting blood circulation by removing blood stasis drugs is increased in modern formulas.According to the results of data association rules analysis, we could found that tonic herb pairs and invigorating spleen for diuresis pairs were used most times.According to the statistical results of nature, flavour and channel tropism of drugs, we could found that sweet flavour drugs were most commonly used, and then bitter, pungent flavour drugs. The two kinds of sighnificant natures were cold and warm. Most part of drugs were pertain to liver channel.Conclusion: The features of Renal Diabetes are deficient root with overdo superficial and intermingled deficiency and excess complication. Sick diabetes too long to involve the kidney is the pathogenesis. Sick diabetes too long to loss the vital qi and loss balance of fluid, pathological products such as diuresis and dampness, phlegm and fluid retention, static blood,qi stagnation and so on lay up to damage the kidney collaterals.Based on the analysis of Renal Diabetes prescription, we could find that the most frequently used drug classes are tonic drugs, it so suitable to the deficiency feature. And according to the degree level of excess, antipyretics drugs, dampness clearing drugs, arresting discharge drugs and promoting blood circulation by removing blood stasis drugs would be compatibled. These give an index to the medication rules of tonifying and removing the evil in the meantime.
