"Xiu Tong Ling" The Clinical Observation Of Treating Angioneurotic Headache

ObjectiveBased on the literature research and clinical practice, this study was to observe the effects of "Xiu Tong Ling" in treating angioneurotic headache and study the mechanism of this therapy.MethodsThis subject was adopted parallel randomized, controlled study.All the patients who accepted the treatment in this study were from the Otolaryngology, Acupuncture, Brain Psychological department in our Hospital. With the premises of the informed consent and according to the inclusive and exclusive criteria of western medicine,60patients with migraine were divided into two groups. The patients in the treatment group were treated with Xiu Tong Ling, The cases in the control group were treated with Dou-Liang-soft-capsule.By Pain Measuring Scale, We observed the changes in the aspects of TCM symptom scores, onset time, headache frequency, headache duration, headache degree before and after the treatment, and analyzed the differences of curative effect between the two groups.Results1. There were no significant difference of duration and age between the two groups(P>0.05),with comparability before they accepted the treatment.2. The total effective rate in treatment group was slightly lower than the control group,(P>0.05). In the rating scale assessment, the aspects of TCM symptom score, headache frequency, headache duration were improved than before in treatment group(P<0.05).In the control group the aspects of TCM symptom score, headache frequency, headache duration, headache degree showed significant improvement after the course(P<0.05). 3. After the treatment, the Curative effect in the reducing of headache frequency was quite a same in the two groups. But in terms of the headache degree of the treatment group is less than the control group, But the treatment group had advantages to the control group in relieving TCM symptom score, headaches duration and the time of producing effectiveness.Conclusion1. Nasal drug has definite clinical effects in treating migraine patients.2. The study results showed that Angioneurotic headache patients were treated by nasal olfactory, can improve the headache frequency, headache duration, especially the time of producing effectiveness. It has low incidence of adverse reactions.It is therapeutic effect, convenient and worthy of further promotion.
