BackgroundPostpartum persistent flow of lochia is a common complication of puer perium.Due to parturition consuming energy and blood leads to puerpera a sudden blood and qi deficiency, and bring about the puerperal physiolog ical characteristics of much vacuity and stasis. Maternal resistance also weakens. If lochia persists several days puerpera will lead to anemia or secondary infection. Severe cases may be caused by bleeding fainting. We stern medicine clinic in treating postpartum persistent flow of lochia gi ves priority to anti-inflammation and promoting uterine contractions even more choosing complete curettage uterine cavity.A puerpera whose uterin e cavity is large, deep, or whose uterine cavity is tight adhered by plac enta in puerperium makes curettage more difficult. One time is not easy t o thoroughly clean and it needs many times. It’s easy to cause intraoperat ive bleeding, uterine perforation, as well as the infection spread advers e consequences. For the patient, medical safety is hard to ensure and it may generates deep wound in body and mind. Therefore looking for a new an d effective therapeutic method in postpartum persistent flow of lochia is particularly important. To observe the clinical efficacy of Qingre Lian gxue Angong Decoction, a Chinese herbal prescription for clearing heat, co oling blood and regulating uterus invented by Prof. Zhang Xiao-jing, for the treatment of blood-heat type of postpartum persistent flow of lochia and to analysis the experimental result for exploring a set of safe, effe ctive, convenient and cheap solution. Objective To observe the100patients which belong to blood-heat type of postpa rtum persistent flow of lochia, research the clinical efficacy of Qingre Liangxue Angong Decoction, a Chinese herbal prescription invented by Prof. Zhang Xiao-jing and composed of (radix rehmanniae, cortex moutan, radix paeoniae rubra, herba agrimoniae, fructus lycii, herba leonuri, cacumen bi otae, radix sanguisorbae, herba houttuyniae, herba taraxaci, colla corii asini(melting by heat)), for the treatment of blood-heat type of postpart um persistent flow of lochia. We except that we can search a new train of thought for the clinical treatment of lood-heat type of postpartum persi stent flow of lochia and serve for reproductive health of the majority of puerperal.MethodThis research adopted the prospective, randomized, controlled clinica1trials. One hundred cases of blood-heat type of postpartum persistent fl ow of lochia who met the inclusion criteria were divided into a control g roup (oral use of leonurus tablets and cefradine capsules), and the treat ment group (oral use of Qingre Liangxue Angong Decoction). There were50c ases in each group. We would observe vaginal bleeding time, the change of white blood cell count and C-reactive protein(CRP), the variation of uter ine recovery and TCM syndromes score. Set up a database and statistical an alysis of data. Determine the validity of Qingre Liangxue Angong DecoctionResultThe efficacy on shortening vaginal bleeding time and on relieving TCM syndromes in the treatment group (94%,92%) was superior to that in the co ntrol group (82%,82%), and the results of Ridit analysis showed that diff erence was statistically significant (P<0.05). The treatment group had be tter therapeutic effect than the control group, and had better effect on shortening the uterine diameter(166.33±53.19cm3,212.36±115.08cm3), a nd two groups have significant difference (P<0.05), The pre-and post-tre atment uterine diameter difference was large in the treatment than that o f the control group (136.72±89.57,83.77±105.21), and two groups have si gnificant difference (P<0.05). The white blood cell count after treatment of the treatment group((8.77±3.45)×10e9) was less than that of the co ntrol group((10.33+3.77) X10e9), and two groups have significant differ ence (P<0.05), The pre-and post-treatment white blood cell count differen ce was large in the treatment than that of the control group (6.25±2.11,4.98±3.25), and two groups have significant difference (P<0.05). CRP aft er treatment of the treatment group was compared with that of the control group, there was no statistically significant difference (P>0.05).ConclusionQingre Liangxue Angong Decoction (radix rehmanniae, cortex moutan, ra dix paeoniae rubra, herba agrimoniae, fructus lycii, herba leonuri, cacume n biotae, radix sanguisorbae, herba houttuyniae, herba taraxaci, colla co rii asini(melting by heat)) shows certain effect for the treatment of blo od-heat type of postpartum persistent flow of lochia. This TCM prescripti on is worth of clinical application.
