| Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Qingre sanjie Decoction in the treatment of Acne Vulgaris of the Stagnated blood-heat Syndrome and its effect on serum superoxide dismutase(SOD)level. Methods:A total of 80 patients with acne vulgaris of stagnated blood-heat syndrome who met the inclusion criteria was randomly divided into the experimental group and control group equally. On the basis of lifestyle intervention, the experimental group was treated with qingresanjie decoction, and the control group was treated with vitamin ester capsules. The baseline characteristics was compared and the difference of curative effect between the two groups before treatment,4 weeks after treatment, and 8 weeks after treatment was observed through the improvement degree of main and secondary symptoms improvement, total effective rate, skin loss change, pigmentation change, serum SOD level change and other indicators.Results:1.4 and 8 weeks after the treatment, comparison of symptom scores between the two groups, homogeneity of variance, and t-test of independent samples showed statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The scores of symptoms in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group.2.Comparison of the total effective rate after 8 weeks of drug treatment:the total effective rate of the experimental group was 97.14%,higher than that of the control group with 86.11%.(x2=11.107,P=0.011<0.05),showing statistical difference.3.Patient’s serum SOD level after 8 weeks of treatmentThere was no statistically significant difference in the baseline serum SOD level between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment, the serum SOD level in both groups increased significantly from the baseline, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);The serum SOD level in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group after 8 weeks of treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.Comparison of acne pigmentation scores:after 8 weeks of drug treatment, there was no significant difference in pigmentation scores between the two groups(P>0.05).5.The incidence of adverse events in the experimental group was 8.33%,lower than that in the control group(12.82%)and a statistical difference in was observed between the occurrence of adverse reactions with the experiment group was more secure(P<0.05).Conclusions:The Qingre Sanjie decoction has a more significant effect on the treatment of acne vulgaris and the increased level of serum SOD of acne vulgaris of the stagnated blood-heat syndrome than that with viaminate capsules. And the Qingre Sanjie decoction has a lower incidence of adverse reactions in the treatment of acne vulgaris of the stagnated blood-heat syndrome which is safer and worthy of clinical application. |
