Clinical Study On Acupuncture Prevention And Treatment Of Juvenile Myopia

Research objectiveMyopia is one of the major diseases which harm the teenager’visual function, currently, incidence of teenager myopia is increased year by year. The topic is aimed to research on the principle of acupuncture therapeutics and its therapeutics method. With effect on the visual acuity, refraction, contrast sensitivity, and axial length, we focus on scientific method to make the treatment of myopia up to international standard.Research methodIn the research, we collect information from pediatric patients who get diagnosed with myopia in Eye Clinic of GuangDong Medicine Hospital between July2011and July2013, among which86pediatric patients with myopia are the patients from Eye Clinic of our hospital.The86padiatric patients are grouped into pseudomyopia and true mild myopia, and the pseudomyopia patients are classified into acupuncture treatment group and ice clean drops group at random, and the patients with true mild myopia are classified into acupuncture treatment group and Ice clean drops group at random. Prick jingming, zuanzhu, sizhukong, taiyang, hegu and other points for the acupuncture treatment group, and take ice clean drops for the ice clean drops group. Before and after the treatment for pseudomyopia acupuncture and pseudomyopia eye drop group, check the eyesight, mydriatic refractive, eye axial length and contrast sensitivity for the true mild myopia acupuncture group and the true mild myopia eye drop group, after two-period treatment, compare the eyesight, mydriatic refractive, eye axial length and contrast sensitivity of the padiatric patients respectively, and follow up for one year, enter the acquired data into the data system, and analyze the data using SPSS17.0statistics software.Research result1. The clinical effect on padiatric patients who receive acupuncture treatment is positive, and therapeutic effect on pseudomyopia patients who receive acupuncture treatment is better than the true mild myopia.2. For psedudomyopia patients, to improve the eyesight, acupuncture treatment is better than ice clean drops and has more obvious effect.3. For true myopia patients, both acupuncture treatment and ice clean drops are both helpful to improve the patients’eye-sight, and the acupuncture treatment has more obvious effect on patients than the ice clean drops.4. In terms of improving dioptric degree, the acupuncture treatment can decrease dioptric degree and cure the pseudomyopia, rectify dioptric and prevent the pseudomyopia from evolving into true myopia; for the true myopia patients, neither acupuncture treatment nor eye drops can control the progress of dioptric degree.5. In terms of improving contrast sensitivity, compared with the eye drops group, the acupuncture treatment group has better effect on improving the contrast value under no glare background no matter whether the patient is true mild patient or pseudomyopia; in terms of improving the dark adaptation time, the acupuncture treatment group also has better effect than the eye drops group.6. In terms of improving eye axial, neither acupuncture treatment nor ice clean drops can effectively control the patients’eye axial no matter whether the patient is true mild patient or pseudomyopia. ConelusionThe research indicates that for a padiatric patient with<-3.00D true mild myopia or pseudomyopia, acupuncture treatment can improve eye sight and eye function, and its effect is superior to ice clean drops; for a pseudomyopia patient, acupuncture treatment can effectively control the progress of myopia dioptric degree, and can rectify dioptric, and prevent the pseudomyopia from evolving into true myopia. For the true myopia patients, neither acupuncture treatment nor eye drops can control the progress of dioptric degree. In terms of improving contrast sensitivity and the dark adaptation time, compared with the eye drops group, the acupuncture treatment group has better effect on improving the contrast value under no glare background no matter whether the patient is true mild patient or pseudomyopia; however, under glare or glow background, the acupuncture treatment group and the eye drops group have no difference in contrast value. In terms of effect on eye axial length, no matther whether a patient suffers from true mild myopia or pseudomyopia, neither acupuncture treatment nor eye drops can effectively control the patient’s eye axial length, therefore, for this kind of patient, acupuncture treatment can act as assistant therapeutics to improve eye function and delay myopia deterioration and help the patient recover from myopia much better and faster.
