Clinical Observation On Orthokeratology Combined With Chinese Medicine Acupuncture For Treating Mild To Moderate Myopia In Teenagers

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of orthokeratology(ortho-k)during night combined with acupuncture treatment during daytime for treating mild to moderate myopia in teenagers,and comparing the curative effect with the simple acupuncture treatment and the simple Ortho-K trealtment on this type disease.To clarify the role of this method in the treatment of myopia and to explore the advantages of combination of Ortho-K and acupuncture in the treatment of mild to moderate myopia in teenagers.To provide reference for guiding clinical more effective control of myopia progress.Methods:In the study,according to the inclusion criteria,randomized 90 patients of mild to moderate myopia in teenagers into the treatment group(Ortho-K combined with Acupuncture Therapy)and control group 1(single acupuncture treatment)?control group 2(single Ortho-K treatment),in accordance through the random number table.The changes of eye uncorrected visual acuity and spherical equivalent degree at1,3,6 months.At the same time,the axial length were recorded between before treatment and after 6-month treating.Recorded the collected data,then used SPSS software to examine and analyze.The clinical effect was compared between the three groups at last.Results:1.The results showed that the treatment group and control group 2 were significantly better than the control group 1 in improving visual acuity in a short time.But the three groups of treatment have the same effect on improving visual acuity after a certain course of treatment.2.After the first month of treatment,the difference of diopter value test showed that the treatment group and control group 2 decreased significantly before and after treatment(p<0.01),and there was no significant difference in control group 1 before and after treatment(P>0.05);At 6 months of treatment,the refraction of the three groups decreased significantly before and after treatment(P<0.01),after multiple comparisons of the differences among different groups,there were significant differences between the treatment group and the control group.3.Results After a treatment period of 6 months,axis of the eyes of the three groups increased to varying degrees.Average increase of eye axis in treatment group was 0.15mm,in control group 1 was 0.20 mm,and in control group 2 was 0.23 mm.It can be found that the eye axis growth rate in the treatment group 'was less than that in the control group,but there were no significant differences between the treatment group and the control group.(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.Three kinds of therapy have definite effect on improving Nv and reducing myopia degree of mild and moderate myopia patients.Ortho-K combined with Acupuncture Therapy and single Ortho-K treatment effect faster than simple Acupuncture treatment.2.In the aspect of controlling the growth of eye axis,the effect of Ortho-K combined with Acupuncture treatment is same to simple Ortho-K treatment and simple acupuncture treatment.
