Social worker, as an emerging profession is getting more popular and has formed acertain scale in China, especially in Guangzhou and Shenzhen.But with the growing ranksof social workers, social work burnout problems are beginning to emerge.Enhancing thesocial workers’ psychological capital could help social organizations gain morecompetitiveness.Through the historical literature of the inspection,found that workburnout is the important outcome variables of perceived organizational support andpsychological capital,meanwhile they are respectively crucial factors of job burnout.On the basis of reviewing substantial literature, social worker as the object, this studyused questionnaires to carry out related research. The purpose of this study is to verify therelationship between perceived organizational support, psychological capital and jobburnout, and the mediating effect of psychological capital. This sample includes320socialworkers from Guangzhou.Results are found as follows:(1) There is a significant positive correlation between organizational support andpsychological capital. The higher the perceived organizational support, the higher levels ofpsychological capital.(2) There is a significant negative correlation between Organizational support andwork burnout. The higher organizational support, the lower the level of burnout.(3) There is a significant negative correlation between psychological capital and workburnout. Psychological capital is higher, the lower the level of burnout.(4) Psychological capital play a complete mediating role between social worlers’burnout work and perceived organizational support.
