Flower border design is still at the early stage in china，and plays a role gradually，now become an important form of landscape design.But there is a problem of thedevelopment of border design，for example，the level of designer is uneven，themarkets of plants is immature，the form of design is monotonous，the gardeners arelack of experiences，design cycle is short ect.These all hinder the development offlower border，and there is a gap between the north&south of china.In this paper，Iwrote the origin&concent of flower border at home and abroad，do some research offlower border construction in north China.And do some survey of natural conditions，plant resources¤t situation of green space.Do the summary of the principle offlower border design in china&screen the suited plants.Then come up with theproposal of green space&configuration mode of flower border design in Tianjin.(1)Summarize the flower border design in Tianjin.(2)Choose the suitable plants used in flower border for the local naturalconditions.Classify them according to the colors，seasons&a，biennial and perennial，adding the Ornamental grasses.(3)Make an analysis of three kinds of flower border，the garden area，roadarea&the residential area，put forward the problem,advice&configuration mode offlower border design.
