Study On The Urban Flower Border Plants And Their Application In Hefei City

As an integral part of modern garden landscaping,flower borders play a role in promoting urban and rural ecological construction,assisting rural revitalization,beautifying the living environment,and enriching garden landscapes.This paper took urban flower border plants and its applications in Hefei as the research object,and aims to provide theoretical and technical support for the design and construction of urban and rural flower borders in the future.The main results of the research are as follows:(1)A systematic investigation was carried out on the flower border plants in Hefei City,and a list of flower border plants in Hefei City was formed.According to statistics,there are a total of 79 families,238 genera and 380 species of flower border plants in Hefei City,including 98 species of perennial flowers,followed by 65 species of flowering shrubs and 59 species of other shrubs;54 species of one-and two-year herbs;43 species of ornamental grasses;bulbous flowers 15 species;8 species of vines and 38 species of other types of plants(including conifers,evergreens,and ornamental plants).(2)The 103 species flower border plants in Hefei were comprehensively evaluated for their adaptability and ornamental properties by using the analytic hierarchy process.According to the evaluation scores,the application value of flower border plants was divided into 5 grades.The ornamental characteristics of the plants and the habitat conditions of the sites were classified,and the recommended plantings of flower border plants in Hefei were proposed as the basis for the selection of plant materials in the flower borders of Hefei in the future.(3)The investigation and analysis of various flower border application cases such as squares,parks,roads,and street greenbelt in Hefei urban areas were carried out.Through the analysis of design concepts,facade levels,color matching and plant configuration,it was concluded that Hefei City flower border plants and the existing problems in planting,and put forward corresponding solutions.(4)The research on the planting pattern of flower border plants was carried out.According to the type of green space used in the flower border(wall border flower border,road edge flower border,forest border flower border),ornamental surface(single-sided ornamental flower border,double-sided ornamental flower border,corresponding flower border),7 kinds of flower borders were designed.The plant configuration mode provides a reference for the design of urban flower borders.
