Acute Renal failure is the pathological condition that part or all of renal functionslost.Pet clinical morbidity and mortality increased year by year on. With the improvement ofthe status of pets in human life, acute renal failure as a severe acute illness has been of greatimportance to pet owners, which also caused widespread concern in veterinarian. Accordingto its causes, acute renal failure can be divided into three categories: prerenal acute renalfailure, nephrogenic acute renal failure and post-renal acute renal failure. Acute renal failure isnot incurable, its course is not irreversible, that early detection and early treatment can greatlyimprove the cure rate. To be effective in the prevention and treatment of acute renal failure inclinical measures that provided for pets, the study not only of relevant literature aresummarized and concluded, but also collected statistics of cases of acute renal failure incanine that meeting in clinical work. And choosing15cases with complete data from acuterenal failure cases to summarize and analyze by the etiology, clinical symptoms, clinicalexamination and clinical aspects and then explain and discuss them one by one.In this study, we choose general examination, blood tests, biochemical tests, urinetests, X-ray examination and B-ultrasound to diagnose the15cases and treat them mainly byintravenous infusion. And individual cases can be treated by surgery. In these15cases, thecases of prerenal acute renal failure have4cases that there are2cases were cured and2casesdied; the cases of nephrogenic acute renal failure have10cases that there are2cases werecured and8deaths; the case of pos-trenal acute renal failure has only1case and cured. In ourstudy, the choice for the diagnosis and treatment programs is restricted by the acceptability ofpet owners and it is a prerequisite factor for the diagnosis and treatment.
