Logistics system and layout scheme of production line relate to production efficiency of a factory, space utilization and reasonable configuration of resources.Good layout scheme of production line and high-efficient production logistics system play an important role on reducing production costs, improving efficiency and enhancing market competitiveness for manufacturing enterprises.In the paper, a stripe progressive die production line was regarded as a research object. By using relevant theories of layout and logistics and combining with features of the strip progressive die, the realization of production line’s logistics system and optimization of integrated layout were studied. The studies on the following aspects were carried out specifically:(1) The author studied design and modeling of stripe production line’s key equipment, established equipment system of the entire production line, laid a good foundation on designing logistics system and layout optimization, proposed flexible control of progressive die, applied a method of combining experiments with simulation analysis to select punch parameters, gave theoretical basis of punch nominal pressure and number of strokes, elaborated and analyzed it in details, and designed or selected feed system equipment, material receiving mechanism and inspection equipment.(2) The author regarded logistics system as the integrity, studied facility layout,logistics system design, logistics information management and control, analyzed rhythm of production line on the basis of integrated layout for production line equipment, confirmed equipment quantity and load coefficient, designed material handling system, material warehousing system and logistics information system,respectively, gave out relevant parameters and models, and finally studied the evaluation model of logistics system design.(3) On the basis of primary layout for production line logistics system, the author applied SLP(systematic layout planning) to conduct layout optimization design for the stripe progressive die production line, analyzed the logistics and non-logistics relations between operation units of the production line, obtained location correlation diagram and area correlation diagram between operation units,gave full consideration to the stripe manufacturing process, obtained workshoplogistics path and plane layout diagram, and obtained layout optimization through evaluation and comparison.By designing and studying layout of stripe progressive die production line and logistics system, the entire production line will be equipped with good workshop layout and high-efficient logistics system, so as to provide a theoretical support and realization foundation on constructing the stripe progressive die production line.
