Research And Application Of KMCJ Procurement Supply Management

In recent years, as economic globalization and international competition progressed, every company is facing increasingly fierce competition of resources and market, and needs to integrate and effectively use internal and external resources to improve the competitive advantage. As the core function department of Manufacturing enterprises, how Procurement department to use the advanced procurement management theory, integrate related resources, form effective teams and establish the management system to improve the competitiveness of company, will become an important means of gaining access to the market.KMCJ, owned by the Norwegian KM group, is a newly established foreign-owned company, which mainly produces marine sensors. And presently the production has stabilized. But because it’s a newly established company, there are many problems in procurement system and supplier performances are not satisfied as well. How to integrate internal and external resources, establish efficient and stable procurement supply system, and manage procurement supply systematically to improve procurement performance and the competitiveness and customer satisfaction, would be very important.This paper attempts to, starting from the problems and unsatisfied performances of KMCJ procurement supply system, combining procurement theories and models, analyze the procurement supply system of KMCJ and find out the problems, and then solve them by taking corresponding actions.In the first chapter of this, Ⅰ described the research background, content and the purpose. In the second chapter, Ⅰ outlined the traditional procurement mode, procurement management in the supply chain model and strategic procurement management. In the third chapter, first Ⅰ described the status of KMCJ procurement supply system and supplier performance. Compared with advanced procurement supply management, Ⅰ outlined the summary of proposed KMCJ procurement supply management mode. As the materials and suppliers are complex, in section Ⅲ, Ⅰ classified them according to Supply subdivision matrix model. And in section Ⅳ, KMCJ procurement supply management is optimized by mainly using strategic procurement management theory against the key&tough problems of Procurement Supply Management. In order to ensure the smooth implementation of strategic procurement management, in chapter IV, the management information systems, demand forecasting system, procurement organizations, as well as procurement budget and cost control system are established as well, according to the model of supply chain management. In the fifth chapter, I summarized the paper and put forward some of my considerations, which come from this paper writing.
