Since entering the new century, the social and economic obtained tremendous progress,the university library also with the development of the society wave into the higher stage of development. At the same time,the social demand for talents are bigger and bigger, the human resources are playing an increasingly important role in the organization development.Therefore to maximize human resource development ensures that organizations get the most effective development. In order to ensure the library get maximize the overall performance,must be trained a batch of high quality and strong professional team of librarians, and take appropriate measures, establish an effective incentive mechanism to appropriate motivation of employees, to ensure that its potential can be fully maximized.Based on the librarians of colleges and universities this group as the research object, from the effects of incentive mechanism for librarians as the research Angle of view for the writing of this paper. By collecting relevant literature and the questionnaire method to draw the related data, the present situation of library’s incentive mechanism to analyze the corresponding data. Found from the analysis of the current incentive mechanism in university library can not effectively meet the needs of employees, cannot effectively stimulate staff’s work enthusiasm. This paper incentive mechanism in colleges and universities in foreign countries and on the basis of a series of questionnaires and individual interviews, finally put forward concrete measures to improve the current incentive mechanism in university library, namely, to establish the system of incentive system and effective evaluation system, set up scientific and reasonable target incentive management,attaches great importance to the librarian’s career design and management, etc. Hoping these can provide guarantee for the healthy development of the library in colleges and universities,to promote better and faster development in university library.
