In the present time, children could take full advantage of media resources than any other generation, so its growth is more affected by media. Under the background of multi-media, television, as the greatest invention in the 20th century, its influence have declined. But TV still remains a close associate in all media for children. With no doubt, the children’s TV program play an important role in children’s life and have a great influence, either positive or negative on the life of childhood.This study use literature method, questionnaire survey method and other research methods, and then build the questionnaire based on carding related concepts and the research status. Random sampling was used to choose the children in Yangzhou to be samples, and then investigate the state of children’s media contact, the factor of children’s preference, the educational influence of children’s program, the problems of children’s television and so on. Then analyze the educational impacts by using a quantifiable approach.The results showed that:(1) Television is the best associate in all media, and children watch the children’s program most which is their main relaxing model after class. (2) The children’s TV program have a great influence on children’s growth. On the one hand, it can broaden their knowledge, enhance the expressive capacity of the language, help children to observe public order and some other positive impacts. On the other hand, children’s program still have a negative effects on imitating violence, excessive consumption, neglect study and so on. (3) At present there are many problems in children’s program need to be improved urgently, like the violent content, adult animation trend, etc.Thus, to build a healthy media environment for children, children’s program makers should strengthen the sense of responsibility about to be leaders of children’s growth, promote the construction of public television to decrease the survival pressure of children’s TV, and put children’s interest first to promote mass-decentralized transmission according to different cognition characters of children in different age.
