| With the income increasing, living standard of people and cultural requirement in spirit are improving. The convenience of integration of three networks and the use of APP in many sides. These factors lay a foundation of variety show which are brought in other countries. Many foreign variety shows are brought before the shows which audience love are localized and created. The increasing royalty results in the growth of sponsorship. The foreign variety shows take up 80% of variety shows in China. Faced with the competition of local shows, we should take action to make the foreign variety shows successful which we study.The article is based on the phenomenon which the foreign variety shows are widely loved by audience and many star-TV pay attention to the shows. I take foreign variety shows which are widely known as the target of the study and use ways of documentary analysis and text analysis and the theory of narratology, communication and semiology, then study the reasons that people love and raise common questions with many perfect suggestions. Firstly, the background of foreign variety shows including definition, classification, history and requirements. Secondly, the content of shows including narrative structure, skill and language is analyzed using the theory of narratology. Thirdly, the form of shows including subject, image and flow is analyzed. Fourthly, operation process of shows including topic and plan, production process and promotion is analyzed. Finally, Aiming at the problems of current, form and production, i propose some relevant local strategies for foreign variety shows.
