A Comparative Study Of TV News

This paper focuses on the extensive objecting to gambling and corruption in China’s football world from 2009.505 reports from STV、BTV and CCTV from 2009 to 2012 are taken into the research. The paper uses the methods of text analysis and depth interview, thus revealing the circumstance of news production of football reports. Also, the influencing factors are taken into account.The paper may discuss four levels of questions:how can TV reports reflect the situation of the unique football world in China? What differences may exist between TV stations in different districts? How can the complicated social context influence the process of news production? How to improve China’s sports TV news?Through the comparison with time, source and form, the paper analyzes the difference between the behavior of different media. Combined with the interviews with several people in charge of reports, the paper reveals the influence factors to the process of news production. The results shows that funds, positions and the relationship with the authority media, may influence the choice of local TV station.The innovation of this paper is not only reflect the new phenomenon in reports under the new media background, but also discusses the factors from different levels, positions. Through the methods of comparison, the paper explores the present situation and questions in China’s current sports TV news, thus broadening the sight of sports reports, also enriching the practice of China’s news production research. At the same time, the methods of reporting sports and corruption, may learn some tips from this paper.
