Analysis Of Female Athletes In "Sports Weekly" (2008-2013)

The mass media, as the most powerful agency of modern society, to reveal people the truth of the world,by select and reconstruct the environment information.Especially in sports fields, one of the most prosperous areas in modern society which get thousands of focused eyes. It is in a great importance to studied how the mass media cover and reveal about the reality of gender in this area, for bouth Media criticism and Feminist movement.For this study,we choose China’s famous sports newspaper "Titan Weekly",we pick non-Olympic female athletes reports between 2008 and 2013 for study. We ues statistical analysis and text analysis, to reveal how the mass media report female athletes in different contexts.
