The Discourse Study Of Female Athletes In Titan Sports Weekly

As a professional sports newspaper,Titan sports aims to provide the latest,most comprehensive and professional sports news and information.Under the new media environment,the Titan sports has been seeking its own transformation,May 10,2008 Titan sports mobile news is launched,on June 1,2010,Titan sports mobile client is launched,it is the transition to the new media onto a new stage,were adopted Titan sports newspaper and read the spread method of combining mobile client.In the sports arena,since the 1988 Seoul Olympics,male athletes,female athletes performance is much better than in our country on the medal counting has been in a leading position,in three big ball games,for example,Chinese women's volleyball team did well,many times to win an Olympic champion,more twila,HuiReQi,Yuan Xinyue these particular performance athletes;In tennis,li na is Asia's first grand slam women's singles champion.However,in the reports of news media,the number and space of female athletes are less than that of male athletes,and there is an imbalance between male and female athletes.However,most studies on female athletes focus on analyzing their media images or comparing the reports of male and female athletes,lacking in-depth interpretation of the reports of female athletes.Therefore,it is of certain value for this paper to select female athletes' reports for discourse analysis.This paper selected the female athletes' reports of Titan sports from January 1,2013 to December 31,2018 as the research sample,and analyzed the female athletes' reports of Titan sports from two aspects,text and context,with the theoretical support of van dijk's news discourse analysis.The text analysis of discourse is mainly carried out from two aspects of macro structure and micro structure.In the aspect of macro structure,it mainly analyzes the theme structure,news graphic,and headline theme structure.Microstructure,from the use of vocabulary,narrative mode,sentence three aspects of analysis.The context analysis of discourse mainly starts from the two aspects of discourse style and rhetoric.In the aspect of discourse style,it mainly analyzes the discourse style presented by different reporting themes.In terms of rhetoric,it mainly analyzes the use of tropes,citations,rhetorical questions and rhetorical devices.The study found that the female athletes' reports of Titan sports presented a variety of discourse styles,and the discourse styles of different subjects were different,amongwhich the popular style was the most common.The use of tropes,quotations,rhetorical questions and rhetorical devices increases the readability of the discourse and makes the image of female athletes more vivid and vivid.
