China traffic radio was born in the early 1990 s. With the rapid advance of urbanization process in China, traffic radio has identified the audience and it’s on the way of win-win cooperation with the aid of all kinds of characteristic resources to provide professional service in time instead of the simple model of service by controlling traffic and the safety of traffic vehicles and passengers. With the continuous development of science and technology, the emergence of new media has a certain impact on the development of broadcasting industry. Even the traffic radio that always plays a dominant position in the radio can’t get rid of the impact.This article analyzes the influence of the new media of traffic radio from the new media environment of their own development and outside environment of traffic radio, especially about the case analysis digging into how to deal with a crisis and the opportunity bought by new media convergence. Thus it is of great importance to study the traffic radio development trend of the new media environment and traffic radio, the integration of the traffic radio and new media,and other types of development. And the study will be significant to the development of future broadcast.
