| In recent years, with the rapid development of Chinese civil aviation industry, the aviation industry is facing more and more challenges. The figures of aviation safety statistics of 20th century show that the global accident rate of large jet transports is presented clearly downward trend. This is due to the improvements in aviation technology and advanced equipment design and manufacturing technology to enhance the reliability of the cockpit systems and automation equipment commonly used, so that the human factors are very important, especially in this stage, pilots’error causing accident is the most important factor.This paper combined safety competency researches on other industries with expert interviews to make a questionnaire, and explored the primary dimensions of safety competency of transport pilots. Questionnaires had been distributed to some major airlines. Then all data had been analyzed by SPSS 18.0 to find dimension structure then reliability and validity. Finally, to give each dimension and each index weight, this paper used AHP to do this. After all above steps, this paper obtained the following conclusions:1) Transport pilot safety competencies include non-technical skill (situational awareness, decision-making ability, automation systems understanding), the understanding of safety(safety attitude, safety awareness, safety motivation, tricks ideas), mental quality(interpersonal adaptability, interpersonal sensitivity, responsibility, professional ethics, emotional stability, emotional regulation).2) The dimension structure of transport pilot safety competency is reasonable. The questionnaire has good reliability and validity, and it can be used as an effective tool for measuring transport pilot safety competency.3) AHP results show that the weight sorting is the understanding of safety, non-technical skill, mental state. |
