This article use statistical methods, including multiple linear regression analysis, testing hypothesis, to analyze the theory test of civil aviation pilots'license. Civil Aviation Administration of China and flight schools can make use of the result to further improve the theory test of civil aviation pilots'license.Firstly, a detailed statistical analysis of the theory test of civil aviation pilots'license is given in this paper. The contents of analysis are mean, variance, skewness, kurtosis, reliability and validity of theory test. These statistical indicators can reflect the overall situation of the theory test of civil aviation pilots'license. The analysis of reliability and validity show that reliability and validity of theory test are in middle level, there is a large room for improvement. Secondly, analysis by multiple linear regression reveals that four courses have most significant effect on theory test scores that are aircraft structure, flight theory, air navigation, civil aviation aircraft electric instrument and communication system. Finally, we evaluate the differences of theory test scores and pass rates between student pilots from high schools and student pilots from other universities. The difference of theory test scores on Commercial Pilot's License and Instrument Rating is statistically significant, but the difference of Private Pilot's License and Airline Transport Pilot's License is not statistically significant. The study also found that there was no statistically significant difference in pass rates between two types of cadet pilots.
