Nuclear power is a clean, safe and efficient electrical power generation way. It plays an important role in the energy construction since it has developed for more than 30 years in our country. The environment issues initiated by traditional electrical power generation become more and more severe nowadays. The development of hydroelectric generation is limited by the resources unbalanced distribution and the nearly saturated developable capacity. We are facing with serious hazy weather in recent years. Nuclear power will not produce highly polluting materials such as dust, oxynitride and sulfide. The statistical data shows that the amount of highly polluting materials produce by nuclear power is only one percent of that thermal power do. Therefore, making a massive development of nuclear power as a clean energy has become our country s important strategic choice. Nuclear power is also an efficient way to ensure the safety and sustainable development of future energy. In a word, development nuclear power has strong practical significance in long time to come.The state council immediately shut all of the under construction nuclear power down to have inspection after the Japan’s fukushima nuclear power plant nuclear accident happened on March 11, 2011. It also required relevant department to speed up the process of preparing relevant laws and regulations. It made clear that the newly built nuclear power plant have to meet the requirement of the third generation nuclear technology of international uniform definition. It emphasized on the ability of new nuclear power technology on preventing and mitigating serious nuclear accident. TS third generation EPR technology has a great improvement on security and economy compared with second generation. The nuclear power project schedule management is much more difficult compared to common civil engineering project since building a nuclear power plant needs more high technology. As we know, nuclear power project schedule management throughout the whole process. Schedule management effectiveness directly related to the success of nuclear power project construction.This paper briefly introduces the development process of nuclear power, the present situation of project progress management, the existing problems during practice and the general situation and project management mode of TS nuclear power project. We focus on the division of nuclear power project construction stages, the function and focus point of WBS and selective analysis the critical path of nuclear power plant unit 1 of TS nuclear power project. We also illustrate the schedule plans systems in details through several aspects, such as schedule management programs, schedule levers, milestone levers, and so on. Furthermore, this paper detailedly describes the general methods of nuclear power project schedule control and introduces the schedule control on design, construction and debug respectively. Finally, this paper describes the effects of nuclear power engineering information management system, software P6 and 3D-PDMS management platform on project management, especially on schedule management.
