Automatic Generation System Of The Flight Procedure Protection Area Based On ArcObjects

In China, the flight procedure has been designed mainly by hand. With the development of the computer, most flight procedures design studio use AutoCAD software to design the flight procedure. But there are still many problems, such as low efficiency, heavy workload, and different design results and so on. In order to meet the flourishing and rapidly development of civil aviation, as well as airport construction needs, we must improve the existing flight procedures design methods.In order to solve the problems above, this paper has done a lot of research work. It optimized the flight procedure design process, proposed new algorithms of the flight procedure protection area and the obstacle assessment, and completed the design work of the flight procedures aided design system. The flight procedures aided design system includes three modules. The first module is an automation implementation module of the departure procedure, the waiting for procedure and the missed approach procedure. The second module is the obstacle assessment module. The third module is the storage and using modules for the flight procedure parameters and data which is based on the Geodatabase.This paper strictly according to ICAO Doc8168, built the algorithm model of wind spiral, with being packagd that can be called directly. It present the data processing flow and Geodatabase chose of the racetrack procedures module, completed the automatic generation of racetrack procedures3D protection area in conformity to drawing by hand, and the obstacles automatic evaluation. The protected area’s3D rendering built up. At last, the results were been summed up, the problems been analysised and the research direction were been made definitely in this paper.Practice has proved that the flight procedures aided design system based on the ArcObjects has improved the accuracy and efficiency of flight procedures design, improved flight procedures design quality, ensured flight safety and accelerated the flight procedures program evaluation and implementation. In the civil aviation practical work, it has great practical value and reference value.
