With the advance of China’s urbanization process, the continuous improvement of people’s living standards, urban population is growing, traffic on the roads. Especially in Beijing as China’s capital, traffic congestion problems affecting people’s lives. In order to alleviate the ground traffic pressure, Beijing Metro is rapidly developing., daily lives increasing reliance on subway, passenger flow increase rapidly. These result in Metro operation accidents continue to occur, subway safety issues get the attention of the Government and Metro operational company. Thus, by studying the vulnerability of subway operation, reduce the vulnerability of subway stations to ensure personnel safety became a problem to be solved.Through the study of literature, we define the meaning of operational vulnerability of subway station, and establish a subway system vulnerability ESAR concept model. We describe degree of exposure, sensitivity, adaptability are the3dimensions of vulnerability, and explain the relationship between these3dimensions and vulnerability. Statistical analysis of Beijing Metro one hundred operational accidents, combined with relevant theory and related vulnerability research, identifying vulnerability factors, then we build the evaluation index of Beijing subway operational vulnerability. Apply entropy method, a combination weighting method, matter-element theory and expert consultation method to calculate index weights. Establishing entropy matter-element model, select four representative stations for vulnerability assessment, then analyze and results. Through theoretical analysis, examples show that entropy matter-element model to the applicability of the vulnerability assessment can be used in the subway operation. Based on the status quo of Beijing Subway and evaluate results, we proposed countermeasures to reduce the vulnerability of subway for reference.
