A Study Of Children Friendly Community Space Design

Because of the market demands of the residential environment quality,the present community space design at home have made the design to get the highly attention and construction investment,wether construction planning,space function and environment building have been improved a lot in the last ten years. And the area of design is also carried out on the discussion of the community humanization design,and appeared a lot of discourses and some successful cases studies of community space design.However, our design’s development exist a ’blind spot’,that means among the attention and study of the community design,it is always made the adults as the object users of the design,but the Vulnerable groups (especially the child) were considered as the attached.Children as the object users of the community space design is a breakthrough change from the design.The meaning of this is to open up the thought of the community humanization design and public space,increase the methods and means of design and test.Our designers need to change the point of the design actively and develop a design structure to suit the requirements of the times.Therefore,the topic of this paper is’child friendly community space design research’,to talk about a series of views of community space planning、building and environment when children as the object users of the community space design.In this paper we will explore the meaning when children as the main users of the community space design based on environmental behavior,psychological theory,ecological psychology,and summarize the constitute and figure of children friendly community space,and propose the evaluation system of children friendly space.Through the comparative study of the field survey at Chengdu City, Hongpailou the Great Wall community and foreign outstanding case,to analysis the current situation of our country community space and discuss the design survey object.Based on the the theory study and field survey,this paper summarize three methods such as children’s behavior research design method, children’s participatory design method and natural method which suit for children friendly community space are hoping to supply and perfect the theory of our country’s community design.
