With the continuous development of the times, people’s understanding of the societybut also in unceasing deepening. In this great material wealth in modern people, not thepursuit of daily life products to satisfy their material needs, also hope to get the spirit ofthe cultivation and distillation in the use of products. This requires designers to give fullconsideration to the spiritual care of the user and the demand of cultural psychology inproduct design. China is also a long history of five thousand years of the state, and thisrequires the designer will long cultural history of us, especially the integration oftraditional culture and the outstanding product design.This article from the basic theory, effect of design on the western traditional cultureon its own, the vertical and horizontal research, induction and comparative. At the sametime to sort out in China’s long cultural history, refining effect of Chinese traditionalculture on the product design. Focus on the analysis of the traditional culture of thedoctrine of the mean thought of culture and beauty of mean, influence on contemporarydesign and the application in the product design, and to the doctrine of the mean thoughtof culture guidance for the design, to explore the different levels of coherence in theproduct function. Through the classification of products, how to integrate the traditionalspiritual culture in detail the modern products in the traditional products. Mainly includestwo aspects, one is the traditional product design process based on the idea of spiritualculture; two is the reflection and into the traditional spiritual culture in the specificdesign process, put forward the design method of theory.On this basis, this paper studies the traditional view of spiritual culture in theproduct design, from the design concept of different, different design stages, and thedifferent design methods and ideas are described, and demonstrated in them with largenumbers of examples and their design. Finally hope that designers can design products atthe same time, the spirit of traditional Chinese culture heritage and development, and tocreate a new culture and way of life, successfully become the link between consumersand products and culture.
