Adaptive Aging Design Of The Outdoor Activity Space For The Family Area Of The Fourth Cotton Texitile Factory In Xi’an

Xi’an textile city which build in1950is one of the most important textileproduction base in China at that time,it recorded and preserved the time change of a cityand the traditional society of a specific period. However in the21st century, along withthe cross presentation of the urbanization and aging, the old enterprise unitaryresidential areas lost the harmony and prosperity in the past. As the emigration of a largenumber of young people, the empty-nested phenomenon of the residential areas becomeserious and lead to the aging and decline of the residential areas,. So the renovation andrenewal in the urban construction appears to particularly urgent.Paper is based on the characteristics of our country present stage of rapidurbanization, an aging population and other characteristics of the transition to studyadaptive aging design for the outdoor activity space in enterprise unitary residentialareas, analyze the characteristics and behavior of the old in the old enterprise unitaryresidential areas and the present situation of outdoor activities in the internal space, andthen conclude the basic characteristics of the outdoor activity space suitable for the olduse, further to form a preliminary principles and framework of adaptive aging design forthe outdoor activity space in enterprise unitary residential areas. Under the guidance ofbasic principles, paper chooses the old residential area in Xi ’an textile city as a typicalexample to plan and design to give a feedback to the plan and design of the outdooractivity space in enterprise unitary residential areas through the practice.Renovation and renewal of the old residential areas and population aging problemis the main problem of urban development, and become more and more incisive. Thepaper hopes that through the preliminary research and design to make the outdooractivity space in the enterprise unitary residential areas satisfy the requirements of the elderly living life and leisure in a greater extent, and to further explore an update pathsuitable for this kind of old residential areas development in the future, and to findproblems in the construction of modern community living environment at the same time,so to provide reference for construction of residential environment of modern residentialareas.
