The informationalization of architectural heritages is one of the largest components ofcurrent social informationalization. Spatial information technics, such as BuildingInformation Modeling (BIM) and Geographic Information System (GIS),are able tofacilitate the informationalization of architectural heritages. In order to accelerate theprocess of informationalization in China, spatial information technology isincreasingly concerned by relevant departments and organizations. Architectural relicsfrom Ming and Qing dynasties in Hexi corridor play important roles in the research ofChinese traditional architecture owing to their unique art and technical features. Thisthesis analyzes the requirements of building the architectural heritage database ofHexi corridor, reviews the art and technical features of Hexi traditional architectures, and in turn hypothesizes that the informational surveying and mapping can beperformed from point cloud to BIM. Dougong, which is the most representative partin the art technical system in Hexi corridor, is selected as a case study to verify thishypothesis. In the case study, the implementation and the spatial-temporal distributionof Hexi Dougong case base is discussed and analyzed; the pedigree distribution ofHexi Dougong is mostly virtualized; and a technical method to fully informationalizeHexi architectural heritages is summarized. This method processes three steps, namely statue logging of relic architectures, lifecycle management of architecturalheritages and a final mass-oriented and fully shared informationalization. Two methodologies are adopted in this thesis. The first one, which is used to build theHexi Dougong case base, is mainly based on typology. It references the classificationsystem used in Typology to manage Dougong case base. The second methodology isused to analyze the spatial and temporal distribution of Hexi Dougong. It integratestemporal GIS on ArcGIS platform by adding time field into the attributes of Dougong,so as to analyze the spatial-temporal database. |
