Discussion On The Transformation Of Industrial Heritage Mode Under The View Of Typology

With the rapid development of the city, in order to adapt to the renewal of urban structure, the industrial structure changes rapidly. A large number of old industrial district was eliminated, and some of them were removed, some of them were removed to the suburbs because of the requirement of the city planning, some of them were abandoned. These old factories which reflects the city’s industrial history and culture, reflecting citizens’memories of urban industrial civilization, is an important part of urban civilization and urban development. Therefore, how to protect and rebuild the old industrial heritage has become an unavoidable topic.Study analysis industrial heritage protection by researching Architectural typology theory and summarize classical cases. Through investigating Chongqing city’s industrial heritage background and Dongfeng Chemical Plant, the author understand the local industrial heritage status in Chongqing city basically. With the questionnaire study in related area and the questionnaire conclusion, the author work out the design method of industrial heritage protection and renovation of Dongfeng Chemical Factory in Chongqing city. In the design, combing with the Architectural typology theory and the design method of the typology -- prototype extraction, the author try to analysis renewing buildings and find out the prototype. Basing on the topological deduction, the prototype will develop new architectural form,. this form can both follow old industrial style and fit new functional requirements.Finally, this study try to explore the feasibility and the implementation way of industrial heritage protection, following the rapid development of city, to disseminate culture, benefit the public and make contribution to city.
