| Fast food, which is characterized by mechanization, mass production, affordable and standardized quality, satisfies the needs of the people for increasingly fast pace of life and job requirements. So it has developed rapidly in the highly competitive dining market. Fast-food chain stores usually promote brand image by unified image and interior design style, so that they can develop a unified visual identity to reach a broader propagation, therefore the interior design process optimization is an important step which determines whether the fast-food chain stores can open on time. However, there are some discontented problems on early design organization and implementing flow which greatly affect the environment quality of restaurant space and marketing cycle. So there are many designing examples which bring unnecessary economic loss to enterprise. Thus it can be seen that, how to improve the quality of restaurant space and satisfy the need of enterprises for quikly fund re-steaming, and then to optimize the implement process of interior design and develop a series of modularized schemes to enhance additional values of restaurant space, has become an important subject in the developing of the fast food industry. In the paper, the theory of modularization is introduced into the design of fast-food chain stores in order to study the new idea and methods. First, the paper introduces the concepts and characters of modular design, the developments of fast-food chain stores and contents and principles of interior design, then analyses the problems of the present design course of fast-food chain stores and develops the modular design system. Second, the paper studies the modular process and design process on basis of modular systems. Specifically, the paper analyses the preparatory work, rule-making process, module division, module design, the integration testing and the principles and methods for establishing module library and then discusses how to accomplish the selection, integration and update of modules and the principle and method of project evaluation. Finally, on the theoretical basis, through the case design the paper attempts to illustrate the feasibility of the model. |
