With the advent and development of the experience economy era, product design has become increasingly diverse,people in the case of material abundance pay more attention to spiritual needs and life experience. Emotional design by fully attention to the emotional needs of the people has become a new trend of design. Emotion is always accompanied by feeling. No feeling, no emotion. In the modern product design, design of the senses as instinct level of emotional design is mainly on the physical properties of the product such as appearance, sound, color, material, texture, etc., with human vision, hearing, touch, taste and smell. Sensory design application in modern product design ideas, is of great significance in exploring new design methods.This paper consists of two parts, theory and experiment, theoretical part starting from the problems existing in the design of modern commodity, by studying the sensory design, application of sensory design theory, looking for commodities sensory design method, and the method to explore the sensory properties of product factors and consumers:the relationship between sensory properties of product factors influence consumer behavior choice.Experiment part is designed with the senses of blower as the main research object, through the study of sound and form hair dryer influence on subjects, explored the auditory and visual stimuli of blower and the relationship between the subjects enjoy preferences. Consists of two design research process,the experiment one: situational experience design method and experiment two:sensory evaluation method, the combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods. Situational experience design statutory discussed the relevant information about the blower, usage, and consumer preferences and evaluation of the whole of hair dryer samples to determine a limited number of related factors of sensory characteristics. Auditory sensory evaluation rules quantitatively discusses the blower features and visual features factors influence on consumer psychological feelings, for a semantic differences of the results of experiments for further discussion, the evaluation method for consumer preference for the voice of the blower and modelling data. Through the exploration of the product auditory stimuli, the relationship between the visual stimulation and the love of consumers preferences, proved that the sensory properties of product factors influence consumer behavior choice, make our products truly meet consumer expectationsThrough the sensory design concept in the design of daily necessities and application research, enrich the modern commodity design method in theory, for the future of commodity design method of innovative design provides a reference and theoretical basis. Design on the base of the hair dryer design, can according to different design orientation to the deepening of sample, and on the basis of the sensory evaluation test, the result of product design, development, optimization and evaluation has a certain theoretical and practical significance.
