The Purchasing Casting Parts’ Quality Improvement Project In CT Company

After entered the 21th century and ten years quick development, the machinery industry capacity in China has increased a lot; The market has fallen quickly when the new economic phenomenon appeared which would lead to the cut-throat competition, the purchasing power market asks that each company in this industry must build up their core advantage to meet the customer’s requirement. In order to improve their competition and hold their customers, each company must meet and exceed their customers’requirement. In Chinese market, the machines are commodity and the cut-throat competition will lead to the higher product quality and improve the customers’satisfaction.As the basic machinery components, casting parts play an important role in improving the vehicle machine’s quality. Because of the complexity and particularity of the casting manufacturing process, each company have to purchase these casting parts from external market. It’s more and more important to select the suitable casting suppliers and build up a suitable quality manage process to control the parts’quality. Based on the modern quality theory, the supplier select and optimization theory, the product and process concurrent development theory and the CT company background, analyze the company casting parts situation and quality issues to find a suitable management process to select the suitable supplier, monitor the casting process in supplier site and improve the inspection capability.This thesis include the contents and detailed as followed:At first, mainly introduce the background, investigate process, the main quality investigation content in China, international experts and organization. Provide the investigate method, investigate content and innovation. The main investigation methods in this thesis are literature research method, interview method and quantitative analysis method. This thesis also mainly introduce the quality definition, quality management theory and method, casting quality management theory as well as the current supplier management theory.Secondly, mainly introduce the CT company casting part quality situation and find the root cause from the suppliers, part designing process, manufacturing process, parts inspection process; Based on the root cause we find, build up the fixed method and implement them to improve the casing part quality level.Finally, implement the quality management process and provide the successful experiences for other kind of parts and companies.The innovation of this thesis is to build up the total quality management process on casting parts. From the beginning of selecting casting suppliers, introduce the product and process concurrent develop process on the product designing, control the casting manufacturing process, inspect the parts and provide the solution for those issues. This management process can be adopted on the other kinds of parts to improve the parts quality and the entire machinery industry quality level.
