Aluminium industry started since60years ago. Through improving the technology and weeding out the lag behind and high power consumption production pattern, even though the reserves of our bauxite is not so sufficient and distribution is also not continuously, the output of our Aluminum products are at the first place in the world. In the meantime, China also is the biggest Aluminium consumption country in the world. Due to excellent performance and variety of Aluminium products, it is generally used in construction, transportation and electric fields, even in household area, almost in every single aspect of our lives. It is not only light in weight which cost less energy, but also can be recycled and reused without performance damage. It has high potential in the future market.At the beginning of this article, the characteristics, products’performance and application areas of aluminium and alloy have been introduced, and also the bauxite distribution and the whole aluminium production chain has been shown after to give the general idea of the aluminium industry and products, in order to get a better understanding of aluminium products through the whole production chain and make a good foundation for further inference of the perspective of the market. This article describes the trade status and the development of aluminium in China, and also the preference and habit of aluminium consumption. It generates a complete picture of aluminium trading situations, competitiveness. China has significant place in aluminium industry in the world, and with the recovery of global economy, increment of demand, aluminium products market from China is getting firm. But how to keep this advantage and to create the real competitiveness even in recession are the main parts that should be improved. This article analyzes the reason of competitiveness, from the general industry level to single product level with both static and dynamic analysis, to figure out the source of the competitiveness shown in the beginning chapter. Find out the real source under the competitiveness; improve the competitveness of Chinese aluminium products.At last, this article combines the prospect of the market and result of analysis above, so that the substantial advices have been given for improvement of competitiveness of Aluminium product and further development of aluminium industry in China.
