With the development of world economic globalization and regional integration, there is an increasingly frequent and close contact of economy and trade around the world. The livestock product's trade obtains an important role in the world economy; the international market change has a profound influence on export trade of China's livestock products and the domestic market. With China's accession into WTO, on one hand, due to the fact that import tariff of livestock product is reducing year by year, China becomes the target market of the major livestock product's export countries which are compete seriously.With overseas massive high quality livestock product's in bursting, the domestic livestock product's market competition shows an international tendency gradually, on the other hand, owing to technical barrier, China's livestock product's export continually commit suffocate. Therefore, this empirical study on the representation, influencing factor and other questions of Chinese livestock product's export trade competitiveness, not only is useful in instructing the healthy development of livestock products export trade, but also can provide important reference on how to deal with international competition and improve Chinese livestock product's domestic market.This paper, mainly using the empirical study method on the basis of quantitative analysis, started with the market distribution and goods structure of Chinese livestock products. It conducted a research on the representation, status and influencing factors of Chinese livestock product's export trade competitiveness, and analyzed the influence of livestock product's quality level on the Chinese livestock product's export competitiveness. Finally, the paper put forward several measures to enhance the international competitiveness of Chinese livestock product. The full paper is composed of the introduction and seven chapters of subject content.Chapter 1 Introduction This chapter explained the research motivation, purpose and meaning; gave a comparative comment on domestic and international dynamic research trends of competitiveness, competitiveness of livestock products, and provided the thought, method and innovation of the study.Chapter 2 The foundation of Chinese livestock product's export competitiveness As the analytical theoretical basis, Firstly, this chapter generalized the concepts of the livestock product defined by domestic and foreign researchers, then, according to the research goal, clearly defined the scope of the livestock product, namely, dividing the livestock products into eight categories according to the product attribute under the unified HS trade caliber, thus solved the problem of coherency and consistence of the livestock product's caliber in the time series analysis. Secondly, combining the present and latest abroad and domestic study results, this chapter comes to form the frame of the whole study. This chapter consists of three parts: (1) to establish the concepts of livestock production competitiveness. (2)To nail down the influencing factor and measure index of the livestock product's export trade competitiveness.Chapter 3 The status and Comparison of Chinese livestock products'export competitiveness This chapter combed and analyzes the status of Chinese livestock product's trade competitiveness and the comparison in the world market. First, we analyzed the character of Chinese livestock product's trade separately on its scale, flowing, product's structure, market distribution and so on from the angle of livestock product's overall and its classification, and explained the trade pattern, the relations and differences of trade vicissitude rule of Chinese and the world livestock product; Next, using the international market percentage, the trade competitive power index and the dominant comparative advantage index to implement the quantitative analysis on the Chinese livestock product's overall and the classified livestock product's comparative advantage, we definitude Chinese livestock product's comparative advantages on the whole and the classified product and the status and function in the international livestock product's trade.Chapter 4 The CMS model analysis of Chinese livestock product's export competitiveness this chapter analyze the dynamic structure and the growth factor of Chinese livestock product's export trade by using the CMS model. respectively from the level of many markets and single market, we made empirical analysis on Chinese livestock products'market distribution, goods structure as well as competitiveness by applying constant market share model (CMS), and summarized the succession rule and the change feature of the market structure of Chinese livestock product's trade pattern, the product's structure and the export trade fluctuation change, analyzed and confirmed the influencing factor and its effect on the trade pattern and the export growth of Chinese livestock products . Meanwhile, the paper also used the CMS model to analyze the major influencing factor and its effect on the import scale change of Chinese livestock product's export market. The result indicated that the competitiveness is one of the most important factor affecting Chinese livestock product's export growth, while the export competitiveness is primary determined by the livestock product's qualitative factor.Chapter 5 The analysis of Chinese livestock products'competitiveness on the mail markets This chapter analyzed the staple export market of Chinese livestock products by using CMS model and the trade attraction model respectively. The paper used CMS model to carry on quantitative analysis on the market demand, the import goods structure of the large import countries and the regions ( mainly European Union, the US and Japan) as well as competitive advantage of origin import country.Chapter 6 The factor analysis of Chinese livestock products'export competitiveness On the premise of whether or not consider the quality factor, this chapter analyzed the difference of comparative advantage of Chinese livestock product. That is to say, if consider the quality factor, Chinese livestock product's original comparative advantage are weakening, furthermore, the technology trade barrier generated by the quality factor reduced the Chinese livestock product's international competitiveness much. Therefore, after analyzing the supplied status and problems of Chinese livestock product, this paper sought and proposed several macroscopic policy orientations which can improve the livestock product's quality and enhance its export competitiveness.Chapter 7 The forecast of Chinese livestock product's export competitiveness and optimization of export structure By using the trade attraction model, we confirmed and forecasted the influence of the Chinese livestock product's export market distribution and the export scale, which is caused by distance, demand of import countries, cooperative organization and etc., and concluded the potential market and development space for Chinese livestock product's export growth. With the knowledge of influence extent of elements like import demands and distance on Chinese livestock product export market selection, it further sought and proposed the optimized space for market mechanism and goods structure of export trade of Chinese livestock products, and provided the gist for a healthy development of international trade of Chinese livestock product.Chapter Eight Conclusion On the basis of a systematic quantitative study on export competitiveness of Chinese livestock products, this dissertation draw the following conclusions: firstly, the overall export competitiveness of Chinese livestock products see a gradual decline which makes a contrast with the distinctive competitive advantage of a small number of categories product;secondly, under the premise of a set target market demand and distance, the export competitiveness is primarily influenced by the export commodity structure, market distribution and quality; thirdly, faced with an increasingly demanding international market and an internationalized domestic market, the best policy to enhance the export competitiveness is the optimization of export goods structure and improvement of market mechanism and product's quality. Therefore, to enhance the export competitiveness of Chinese livestock products, there is no better way than first, structure optimization and second, quality guarantee.Compared with previous researches, this research on livestock product's overall trade characteristics and influencing factor according to the HS classification system is more complete and systematized, to a certain extent ,it is a breakthrough to the past researches on several kinds of single item livestock product; At the same time, by integrating livestock product's trade feature and the profession characteristic, the paper carried on the essential revisions and the expansions using the CMS model and the trade attraction model. It has pertinence and serviceability to analyzing Chinese livestock product's trade structure, influencing factor and countermeasure quantitative investigations. Additionally, the paper used the Markovian transfer matrix, the trade competitiveness index, dominant comparative advantage index, and some other statistical indicators and descriptive methods,which were either rarely used or studied unsystematically in the previous research. The above research characteristics and innovations made this research on livestock product more sufficient and scientific.
